Who can forget one of the biggest viral videos of last year involving a woman falling over the side of a cliff, only to have her “boyfriend” seemingly go out of his way not to help her?
As it turns out, the woman in question is totally fine. And by fine, we are of course speaking both medically and in the “damn, you fine” sense. But before we get into all the details, let us first take a gander at Mary Shum. You know, for the purpose of putting a face to the whole story.
Woman In Viral Cliff Fall Video Is Actually A Hot Model
Mary, as you can now obviously see, is a model, avid beachgoer and adventurer from Russia. The guy who let her plummet to her supposed doom, however, was not her boyfriend. In fact, he used to date fellow implausibly good looking model Alexis Ren. We’ve covered her on a few occasions that immediately come to mind.
As for the incident that set the internet on fire last year, it’s all pretty vanilla when it comes down to brass tacks. According to Unilad, who was able to catch up with Mary’s ex-hubby Alexander Tikhomirov a year after the video spread like wildfire, it was an open-and-shut case of minimal reaction time:
I filmed this with my friend. The girl who is falling is my ex wife, now we have a baby.
Mary fell on a rock first – about 3 meters down – and then she went into the water. She didn’t break anything, unlike people said, but she did hurt her feet and ass and back.
We went to the hospital later and she couldn’t walk for a few days. But finally everything was good.
Alexander, who also goes by Sasha, goes on:
The guy who removed his leg is Jay Alvarrez.
He removed it not because he is an asshole, but because everything happened in one second.
Anyway, he probably made it better when he removed it.
So there you have it. No harm, no foul. And the best part is, this story lead us to knowledge that Mary has an Instagram and YouTube account that she posts her escapades on regularly.
