Well, at least some people were happy with the results.
As much horror as the election brought, as Donald Trump was named the next president of the United States, there was a certain group of people (besides Trump lovers) that were happy as all hell: Porn stars. Oh, and maybe the girl who now has to get an ass tattoo. Maybe.
Proposition 60, had it passed, would have required adult industry performers to use condoms during vaginal and anal sex scenes, and would have forced moviemakers to pay for health exams and post condom requirements on porn sets. So your porn clips would have been filled with a lot of rubber. But don’t worry, classy porn producers were against it, so they tried with all their might to make sure it didn’t pass.
Also, according to Engadget, Prop 60 would have “formalized the online harassment of sex workers–allowing online trolls to be digital vigilantes, granting them the power to punish sex workers by fining and outing them.” Wow.
Well, it didn’t pass, and boy were porn stars happy. Take a look at some of their reactions:
I can’t stop crying!! I’ve been so emotional today! What a release! We did it!!! trying so hard not to be petty right now to @AIDSHealthcare
