This is not news to anyone, but most of the celebrities you see on the cover of magazines don’t actually look like that in real life. Whether it’s shaving off a roll or two around the waistline or smoothing out 40 years of wrinkles on the forehead, most celebrities look just like us as they get older (terrible) (or even more terrible if they’ve gone buck wild with plastic surgery.)
To illustrate this point here are a few before and after photos of what are considered hot female celebrities with and without the magic of photoshop. Some actually look just as good, if not better (we’re looking at you Adriana Lima, Emma Watson and Scarlett Johansson), while others do not (ahem, Madonna).
