Original Story: Sony just took the stage for a pre-Tokyo Game Show stream this morning. Although many considered it to be an underwhelming affair, there was one huge announcement: Persona 5 is coming to PS4.
Previously, Persona 5 was scheduled to release in late 2014 as a PS3 exclusive. We now know that it’ll have a PS3/PS4 launch at release, something many PlayStation fans have showed excitement over. I personally know a couple people who were holding onto their PS3 just to play the game. So much for that plan.

Persona is one of the most prestigious JRPGs of the modern era. The last release, Persona 4, achieved a 90% Metacritic score, with its PS Vita port, Persona 4 Golden, becoming the most well received game of the platform.
Truth is, almost nothing is know about Persona 5, and today didn’t change that. We know a few of the obvious things; it’s being developed by Atlus, will retain a lot of the same elemental gameplay and social features of past games. However, there will be new characters, and a completely new map to explore. Just about everything other than that is shown in the trailer above, so be sure to check it out.
Update: Below is the official logo for Persona 5. What do you think?
