Sigourney Weaver is set to reprise her role as Ripley in the upcoming Alien: Isolation.
The actress will be providing voice work for exclusive DLC that will be available to those who pre-order the survival horror FPS, alongside the original case from the 1979 film Alien.
Sigourney will appear in two missions, both of which will allow players to reenact scenes from the original movie. This is befitting of the gameplay style of Alien: Isolation, which draws a lot more inspiration from Ridley Scott’s original sci-fi horror movie than it does its more action-packed sequels.
The first mission, titled ‘Crew Expendable’, will see Ripley, Dallas and Parker become playable characters, as the Nostromo’s crew is tasked with ridding a Xenomorph from the air vents of the ship. Each character will come with his/her own unique loadout, and will also take their own route through the mission.
The second DLC mission, titled ‘Last Survivor’, will be available through select retailers. It will see the player assuming the role of Ripley in the film’s concluding scenes, attempting to escape the Nostromo and destroy the Alien inside of it.
Alien: Isolation is set to release on October 7th on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
