Sure, all the cute little vehicles in Mario Kart 8 are…well, cute…but don’t you just wanna see Mario roll in serious style?
Last month, Nintendo announced that a Mercedes-Benz GLA-class Kart would soon be available in Japan, conveniently timed to the start of a new Japan-only TV ad campaign featuring the GLA on a Super Mario Bros. road before a very odd real-world version of Mario steps out. Check out the ad for yourself…but man, as with most things involving Japan’s merchandising, it’s weird.

But now, Nintendo says that’s modified convertible one-seater Benz will be available for North American game players as well. No word on exactly when it’ll drop, but Nintendo says some time this summer.
