Mirror’s Edge 2 received a few minutes of attention during EA’s press conference. Although not much was shown, the development team described a game that has the potential to be a huge improvement over its predecessor.
EA has spent time to polish the parkour and combat. The move set is more robust giving more options for navigation, such as being able to cling onto sharp turns and continue running on a wall. Also, there are multiple paths that lead to the same area, so there will be player choice involved.
Combat includes several ways to disarm enemies, including the ability to kick guns out of their hands, and knocking them down. You’ll be incentivized to approach enemies. That is, if you’re agile enough to avoid their attacks.
