Rockstar Games is working on its first PS4 and Xbox One game, which will launch before April 2015.
Speaking during an investor call, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said: “Rockstar Games is hard at work on their upcoming lineup, and we’re excited about what they have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year.” Take-Two’s fiscal year concludes on March 31st, 2015, which means that we’ll be seeing Rockstar’s debut PS4 and Xbox One game before Q2 2015.
In regards to what Rockstar is working on, the smart money is on a port of Grand Theft Auto V. Knowing Rockstar’s slow turnaround when it comes to the development of its games, it would be out of character for the company to release a brand new title so soon after it had released GTA V on PS3 and Xbox 360. With that being said, the rumor mill is inevitably now in full swing, with fans predicting a new Red Dead game on the horizon and even Bully 2.
Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, is remaining tight-lipped on what the developer has in store for gamers, but we’ll likely learn more about it at E3 2014.
