The year of Luigi has been finished for over a month now, and Nintendo isn’t wasting any time showing it. Not only has the company revealed a new Wii U bundle that includes both a 32GB console and a physical copy of Mario Kart 8, but it’s also bringing two brand new Wii Remote Plus options to European players. One is Peach themed, complete with pinkish hue and emblem of royal headdress, while the other is Yoshi-centric, sporting a green color and — you guessed it — a spotted egg.
Both the console bundle and the new remotes will be available on May 30th, the same day Mario Kart 8 hits stores, and both remotes include color-coordinated skins for extra protection. The two new remotes make for a completed set if you already own the Mario and Luigi themed wands; now Nintendo just needs to put out a Mushroom Kingdom-painted console to match.
Those who spring for the Premium Pack will get some extra goodies, like a Mario or Luigi-themed steering wheel and what appears to be a plush hat from your bro of choice. More details can be seen on the product’s official website. Either way, I’m just hoping Nintendo of America will wise up and announce it’s making these available in the states sooner rather than later.
