TGS 2013: Hideo Kojima Gives Gameplay Tour of Metal Gear Solid 5

Hideo Kojima promised it and now he’s delivered.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain‘s latest and greatest trailer is now available for your viewing pleasure. The footage was captured live at Tokyo Game Show while Kojima guided viewers through the experience. Big Boss can be seen breaking into a military installation, carefully taking out guards, stealing a Jeep, and extracting the mission target before leaving in a helicopter. It’s a perfect showing of MGS 5’s great visuals, smooth espionage action, and open-world gameplay.

As mentioned by Kojima, the section shown will be the “prologue” for the game, similar to what was seen in Metal Gear Solid 2. A major event will occur shortly after this gameplay section which will change the tone of the game dramatically.
