Drake’s OVO Fest Followed By After Party With Deadly Shooting

Drake’s OVO Fest, which took place this weekend in Toronto, ended with fatalities after a shooting took place at a club after party – two people were killed and three more were injured. However, according to reports, no one is sure whether Drake was at the club himself.

According to The Canadian Press, police said they responded to a call about shots being fired at about 3:15am Tuesday at the Muzik nightclub on the grounds of Exhibition Place. Supt. Frank Bergen said the victims are a male and a female in their 20s and 30s – one was pronounced dead at the scene while the second victim was pronounced dead in hospital. “We also have three (victims) that have gone to different hospitals with various injuries,” Bergen said to reporters gathered at the scene. Bergen also said he believes there may be others victims and urged them to contact police or Crime Stoppers. It was a “well-run event with lots of police officers around the area,” said Bergen. “We’re satisfied at this point that the organization involved was doing their best and this did occur at approximately 3:30am as things were shutting down for the evening.”

Meanwhile, prior to the crime, Drake was involved in helping the NBA’s Toronto Raptors unveil their new uniforms. On Monday afternoon the team revealed their new get-ups, which pay homage to Canada (since the Raptors are the only professional basketball team in the country), and Drake, the team’s ambassador, was seen wearing the new jerseys during OVO Fest.

No one knows what led up to the shooting at Muzik.
