As expected, STARZ used the Ash vs Evil Dead panel at Comic-Con International to premiere the very first trailer from the upcoming ten episode series.
Bruce Campbell is reprising his role as Ashley J. Williams, the hero from Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness alongside director and executive producer, Sam Raimi. Ash vs Evil Dead takes place 30 years later, as a much older Ash has avoided his responsibilities as the chosen one for decade. But the Deadites are coming back, and it’s all Ash’s fault!
The first trailer introduces Pablo Simon Bolivar (Ray Santiago) and Dana DeLorenzo (Kelly Maxwell). Ash’s much younger co-workers who get sucked into his war with the Evil Dead. The old man also demonstrates that he still has the monster killing moves. However, Ash humorously deals with his age, and the fact that he’s horribly out of shape.
Let the mayhem begin!
STARZ also announced that Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere on Saturday, October 31 at 9pm. It’s going to be a Halloween to remember! Or dismember, as the case may be.
