The ‘Goosebumps’ Trailer Is Here And It’s Pretty Exciting

’90s nostalgia is in full swing at the moment. “The X-Files” is coming back, Ja-Rule and Ashanti are touring Australia and now we have a new trailer for the Goosebumps movie.

The Goosebumps movie is set to bring R.L. Stine’s iconic ’90s books to life in a sort of twisted way. R.L. Stine is actually a character in the movie, played by Jack Black , and in a, ahem, novel twist, to fight “every monster created” the kids have to “suck them” back into the original Ghostbuster book.

Put simply more confusingly, the movie is based on the books, but it also features the books and their author in the storyline.

If the trailer is anything to go by, the movie will be a complete blockbuster with plenty of special effects and make-believe characters that genuinely do look scary.

“All the early monsters that are in the books. They all come out, they’re all there,” the real R.L. Stine told Coming Soon.

The movie is directed by Rob Letterman, who is the man behind Monster vs. Aliens, Shark Tale and Gulliver’s Travels. It features Jack Black and Amy Ryan of “The Office” among a cast of young guns.

It’s set to hit cinemas in October, just in time for Halloween.
