The X-Files has been off the air for over 13 years, which means it’s time to bring new fans up to speed!
Fox has announced a new promo campaign called “201 Days of The X-Files,” plays into the fact that there are 201 episodes of the series that aired between 1993 and 2002, In theory, you could watch one episode per day and be caught up just in time for the premiere of the six episode revival of The X-Files.
In support of this new social campaign, Fox has released a new video with highlight clips from the nine previous seasons of The X-Files. But at 32 second mark, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson make their return appearances as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully as they clear a room. It’s the best glimpse to date of Duchovny and Anderson back in character for the first time since The X-Files: I Want To Believe feature film in 2008

Series creator Chris Carter is guiding the revival of The X-Files alongside veteran series writers Glen Morgan, James Wong, and Darin Morgan. The first episode of Fox’s new X-Files will premiere on January 24, 2016; after the NFC Championship game.
