These 2 Goals Send The USWNT To The World Cup Final

The U.S. Women’s National Team punched their ticket to their fourth World Cup Final after a 2-0 win Tuesday over Germany.

After a blown penalty kick by the Germans, the U.S. rebounded with the only two plays really worth watching.

This Carli Lloyd penalty kick, which was setup by Alex Morgan.

And because embedding has been disabled, here’s reaction from the vivacious Katie Nolan:

And then to seal the deal, Kelley O’Hara’s goal in the 83rd minute.

Iowa City was stoked.

The USWNT will now play the winner of the England vs. Japan matchup. The U.S. lost to Japan in the 2011 Final in a thrilling shootout.

If our girls win this year it will be their third world title (1991 and 1999).

The USWNT has always finished in the top three since the tournament’s inception in 1991.
