Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Returns In September

This fall, the third season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has a lot of loose ends to tie off.

Director Phil Coulson either needs a new hand or he has to learn how to drive with only one hand. Who even knows what’s going on with Agent Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and the Venom tablet? Also, the terrigen crystals entered the food chain of the ocean, which guarantees that more Inhumans will arise. And anyone who isn’t Inhuman is going to die horribly when they get exposed.

The best advice I can give is this: “don’t eat seafood if you live in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Fortunately, Marvel fans won’t have to wait long to see these storylines play out. ABC has scheduled Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to return for its third season on Tuesday, September 29 at 9pm. Leading off the night will be fellow Disney property, The Muppets at 8pm; followed by Fresh Off the Boat at 8:30pm.

For the third season, Henry Simmons and Luke Mitchell were promoted to series regulars, and they will reprise their roles as Mac and Lincoln, respectively. And because the proposed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff didn’t go forward, both Nick Blood and Adrianne Palicki will be sticking around as Lance Hunter and Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse.
