1995-1996 Chicago Bulls
This one is pretty obvious. This team holds the current record for most wins in any NBA season at 72-10. A year off playing professional baseball, Michael Jordan hit his peak alongside Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen. They surpassed Gary Payton’s Seattle Supersonics after sweeping the Orlando Magic in the Conference Finals to win the whole shebang. And while Jordan gets all the credit for this remarkable season, there has never been a better team to wear a set of basketball jerseys… Well, maybe one, but that’s a bit further down the list.

1985 Chicago Bears
The greatness of a team should never be measured solely by their win-loss record. Well, except for when it comes to the 1985 Chicago Bears. Their 15-1 record is something of a marvel in an NFL. But how could it be done you ask? And how could it be done during the 80’s when football was experiencing the most brutal period of the sport? Well, its because the Bears epitomized that brutality in their play style.

1987-1991 AC Milan
Scudetto and back-to-back European Cups. With guys like Ruud Gullit and Marco Van Basten, how could this team not be destined to play like the powerhouse they became? This AC Milan team is hands down the best soccer team of all time.

1992 United States Men’s Basketball Team
Their nickname says it all – The Dream Team. Composed of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, David Robinson, Karl Malone and others. The team’s average margin of victory was 44 points. They might as well have been the Harlem Globetrotters because these guys made every other team look like the Washington Generals.

1927 NY Yankees
We’re reaching pretty far back here to get this one, but, trust us, it’s worth it. The 1927 Yankees, led by none other than the Great Bambino himself, won a total of 110 out of their 154 games. Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs and they swept the Pirates in the World Series to complete the most impressive year in baseball history. But that’s not to say that this entire team wasn’t great. Their featured lineup was so impressive (including the likes of Lou Gehrig and Earle Combs) that people actually called them “Murderers Row.” You always wonder why everybody thinks the Yankees are the best franchise in baseball? Well, it all started here.

1976-1977 Montreal Canadiens
Yes, the best NHL team of all time was Canadian. Shocked? You probably shouldn’t be. The Canadiens went 60-8-12 and (obviously) won the Stanley Cup that year. Led by Guy Lafleur and Steve Shutt, and with some solid goaltending by Ken Dryden, these guys epitomized what it takes to be a good team.

1976 Cincinnati Reds
We had to include the 1976 Cincinnati Reds on this list because the amount of talent on that team is pretty incredible. They went 102-60 on the season because they could tout the likes of Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez and coach Sparky Anderson. Let’s not forget that that they also had Pete Rose (all-time hits leader), Dave Concepcion and Ken Griffey as supporting cast members. All in all, this was probably the most well rounded baseball team in the history of the game.
