It’s hard enough to deliver stories of war, disaster and general tragedy every day without drawing attention to what you might be wearing.
Channel Ten Eyewitness News anchor Natarsha Belling has learned this the hard way, attracting said attention for all the wrong (and we really do mean wrong) reasons.
Belling presented Sunday night’s bulletin in what could politely be described as a risqué jacket, and what could impolitely be described any number of ways. Put simply, it looked like a penis.
A keen-eyed (and gutter-minded) Facebook user spotted the interesting sartorial choice, and posted a screen grab saying “Like if you came here to find out what it is”. Since then, it’s been bouncing around social media, attracting thousands of likes and shares.
The jacket has made it to our screens before – a white version had been worn the day before by Sunrise‘s Melissa Doyle, however Doyle’s longer hair obscured a large portion of the jacket’s shame, and didn’t attract nearly the level of interest that Belling did.
The jacket is by Australian designer Scanlan Theodore (not, as we initially suspected, by Vera Wang), and sells for around $550.
