Troubled former AFL star Ben Cousins has been admitted to a mental health facility in Perth after being found wandering inside a secure military barracks.
Cousins, 36, was discovered by police inside the SAS Campbell barracks in the Perth suburb of Swanbourne around 11pm on Saturday night. It is not clear how he got in.
Nine News reports that Cousins was admitted to the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, but has since been discharged. Police are currently deciding whether to charge Cousins with an offence.
It has not been a good week for Cousins, who was arrested last week for refusing to stop for a breath test, after being witnessed to be “driving erratically” by police.
Cousins is due to appear in court for the driving charges on April 8.
