Earlier this week, Disney XD confirmed that Darth Vader will be making an appearance in the season finale of Star Wars Rebels. But this episode will have more than just the Dark Lord of the Sith.
As revealed in last Monday’s penultimate season 1 episode, the Ghost’s resident Jedi, Kanan has been taken prisoner by the Empire and transferred to the molten planet Mustafar, which was the backdrop of Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi’s epic showdown in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Even Hera, the captain of the Ghost knows about Mustafar, which she described as “the planet where Jedi go to die.”

Before Kanan can suffer a dire fate at the hands of the Inquisitor, Hera, Ezra, Sabine, Zeb and Chopper mount a desperate mission to save their friend. And in the new extended trailer for the Star Wars Rebels Season 1 finale, we see the crew of the Ghost making a pact before traveling to Mustafar. The trailer also teases an epic lightsaber showdown between the Inquisitor, Kanan and Ezra.
Star Wars Rebels Season 1 concludes on Monday, March 2. But fans may not have to wait long for the second season premiere, as it is expected to debut at Star Wars Celebration in April.
