In the extended version of the Star Wars Rebels pilot episode, James Earl Jones briefly reprised his role as Darth Vader. But in next week’s first season finale, Vader is heading back to Star Wars Rebels… in person.
Disney XD has released the trailer for the last episode of Star Wars Rebels Season 1, and the closing seconds show off the Dark Lord of the Sith making his return. However, it’s likely that Vader’s appearance will come at the end of the episode to set up the second season of the series.

The most recent episode of Star Wars Rebels found the remaining crew of the Ghost, Ezra, Sabine, Hera, Zeb and Chopper attempting to locate and rescue their friend, Kanan from The Inquisitor and the Empire. The mysterious rebel source, Fulcrum made his/her first appearance in that episode (and that person is very likely to be someone very familiar to Star Wars fans) before the crew discovered that Kanan is being taken to Mustafar, a planet “where Jedi go to die.”
Star Wars Rebels Season 1 wraps up on Monday, March 2. The second season premiere is expected to debut at Star Wars Celebration in April.
