Canadian actor Nathan Fillion will make guest appearances at the Sydney and Perth legs of the 2015 Supanova Pop Culture Expo. He will be taking part in general admission Q&A sessions, as well as signing and photo sessions.
Fillion first attained cult status as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in short-lived television series Firefly, and its spin-off feature film, Serenity. Fillion will join his fellow Firefly stars Morena Baccarin and Adam Baldwin at Supanova. Unlike Baldwin, Fillion has not had a petition created calling for his removal from Supanova.
As well as Fillion, Supanova organisers have also secured sci-fi authors Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta for appearances in both Sydney and Perth. Anderson has written numerous Star Wars, X-Files and Dune novels, whilst Moesta’s work includes novels in both the Junior Jedi Knights and Buffy The Vampire Slayer series.
Other guests recently announced for Supanova 2015 include Aussie actress Georgina Haig (Queen Elsa in the fairytale TV series Once Upon a Time), Scottish actor James Cosmo (Highlander, Braveheart, Game Of Thrones), Sean Maguire (Meet the Spartans, Once Upon a Time) and Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy).
The Sydney leg of Supanova 2015 will take place between the 19th and 21st June, with the Perth leg between the 27th and 28th June. For more information, visit the Supanova website.
