Poor Sony is having a rough go of things in terms of getting its PlayStation 4 console to actually launch over in China.
While there are no concrete reasons detailed, there is speculation that Sony is running into censorship issues. China employs heavy censorship rules when it comes to foreign (and even domestic) media and games, especially when said media or games have a western-world origin, such as Europe or the United States. Being that PlayStation 4 is a Japanese product, however, one begins to wonder what other possible issues there may be, considering that the Xbox One originates from an American company and managed to release there already.
Hopefully negotiations finish up soon, and Sony can get to business in mainland China, now that foreign game consoles are no longer banned.
