Three years ago, the casting directors of “Arrow” began raiding the former cast of “Spartacus” for recurring and starring roles on the series. But it’s the spinoff of “Arrow” that finally got Spartacus himself.
ComicBook.com broke the story that Liam McIntyre has been cast as Mark Mardon aka The Weather Wizard in “The Flash.” Although Mark Mardon didn’t appear in the pilot episode of “The Flash,” the episode that Clyde Mardon (Chad Rook) aka the original Weather Wizard had a brother who was with on the night that the Flash and several other metahumans received their powers.
The report notes that McIntyre will appear in the fifteenth and sixteenth episodes of the season, as Mark Mardon goes after Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) for killing his brother, Clyde.

McIntyre is best known for starring as the title character in “Spartacus” for two seasons. His former castmates, Manu Bennet, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Katrina Law have all had starring or recurring roles on “Arrow,” while Nick Tarabay recently guest starred on both “The Flash” and “Arrow.”
What this means is that John Hannah, Peter Mensah, Craig Parker, Viva Bianca, Dustin Clare, Dan Feuerriegel and Lucy Lawless should all call their agents. Chances are good they’ll eventually end on “The Flash” or “Arrow” at some point in the future.
“The Flash” returns with new episodes on Tuesday, January 20.
