The Star Wars Holiday Special: The Commentary Track

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars did a holiday special. It was the worst idea in the history of the franchise, often called the worst Christmas special ever made, and sometimes called the worst thing ever produced by the human race. It is “The Star Wars Holiday Special,” and it’s been buried by George Lucas, never officially released in any format. But that won’t stop William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold from recording a free downloadable commentary track to “The Star Wars Holiday Special” on The B-Movies Podcast.

Bibbs, Witney and Christmas movie expert Alonso Duralde of The Wrap and Linoleum Knife (the author of the indispensable holiday tome Have Yourself a Movie Little Christmas) all strap in to explain exactly how “The Star Wars Holiday Special” came into existence and what happened to the poor bastards involved. There will be pain.
