Robin Williams The Most Searched Arts Story On CBC For 2014

Canadians wanted to know more about the tragic death of actor Robin Williams as well as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s wedding, Justin Bieber’s run-ins with the law, and Celine Dion’s break from the music biz to care for her ailing husband.

CBC took a look back at the most searched entertainment stories of the year and compiled the following Top 10 most-read arts and entertainment stories of ’14.

10. Celine Dion went on a music hiatus to take care of her sick husband René Angélil, who is suffering from cancer, and we got curious about our beloved hometown girl.

9. Renee Zellweger and her “new face” premiered in October at ELLE’s 21st annual Women In Hollywood Awards… and generated a lot of buzz given the drastic changes she revealed.

8. Hollywood’s favourite A-list couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally made it official and tied the knot in 2014… and Canadians wanted to know all about it.

7. Kim Kardashian’s butt didn’t break the internet as planned with her “Paper” magazine cover, but it certainly generated a lot of buzz.
