Rocksteady’s trilogy-capping Batman: Arkham Knight isn’t arriving until Summer 2015, but today we have something cool to check out. Courtesy of GameInformer, there’s a new gameplay video to comb over, and from what I can tell there’s a lot of interesting info contained within.
In addition to some awesome new footage of classic Batman take-downs, we learn a bit about Ace Chemicals and how they’re involved with a particular mission in the game, Namely, an over-the-top Batmobile infiltration.
Batmobile gameplay is looking better than ever, and it’s videos like this that cement my confidence in Rocksteady to pull this new playable Dark Knight element off. At times, the footage really does resemble a playable cinematic.
According to GameInformer, the fun is just beginning.
There are two more videos to come soon. The next piece will be distributed on December 1 at 9 a.m. Pacific / 12 p.m. Eastern, with the final being revealed during the keynote at the PlayStation Experience on December 6. For more on Batman: Arkham Knight, check out our cover story from April 2014.

You know what all of this gameplay must mean, right? Well, in theory anyway, it means that development is going well. After the disappointing Batman: Arkham Origins (not Rocksteady developed, mind you), this can only be seen as good news for fans of the series.
Like past games in the Arkham line, you can expect to find Batman on a range of platforms when Arkham Knight releases on June 2nd of next year. There are PS4, Xbox One, and PC editions scheduled, but you won’t find this Batman on last-gen machines — it’s just too advanced. After seeing the Batmobile in action again, I’m reminded why.
