While Sony may have just dropped the Steve Jobs biopic, not all hope is lost.
Universal Studios decided they’d like to scoop up the abandoned project and continue with things. Hopefully the new studio at the helm does a better job at convincing potential cast members to stick with the movie. Sony failed at acquiring Leonardo DiCaprio as well as Christian Bale. They both left for one reason or another, but it obviously didn’t have a good effect on things, because the film is now in a “hot potato” scenario.
Here’s hoping that Universal has their hot oven mitts on and that they know how to handle what they’ve decided to catch without burning themselves.
