Check out Dragon Age: Inquisition’s New Gameplay Features Trailer

Bioware’s upcoming action RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition has already made waves at trade shows and industry events, and as its release draws nearer Bioware is shedding light on its specific gameplay features and character abilities. The player can choose one of three classes, with up to nine unique followers to recruit, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to setting your Inquisition apart from anyone else’s.

Today’s trailer describes three of the aforementioned followers, specifically the powerful warrior known as Iron Bull, Sera the “chaotic elven archer,” and Dorian the mage. In typical Bioware fashion, the supporting cast seems just as interesting than the player avatar (if not more so), so definitely check out the trailer for an idea of what you’re getting yourself into recruiting these guys.

Inquisition differs from previous Dragon Age titles in that it implements layers of both strategy and team-building. Not only can you take control of followers you recruit, but relationships with them (and how they’re developed while under player control) will shape not just the plot’s outcome, but how said recruits will act of their own accord in battle.

We broke down both Dragon: Age Inquisition and The Witcher 3 in a previous article, so be sure to take a look for a more detailed account of how each game plans to shake things up come their respective release dates. Regardless of which title you prefer, only Inquisition is releasing this year; perhaps a good thing for RPG players who can’t bear the idea of missing either experience. The game is releasing on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on November 18th, so tidy up your backlog while you still can.
