At Comic-Con International, Disney and Lucasfilm screened an advance look at “Star Wars Rebels” ahead of its debut this fall. For everyone who couldn’t make it out to San Diego, Disney just released a new seven minute excerpt from the pilot episode of “Star Wars Rebels.”
Set between the rise of the Empire in Star Wars: Episode III and the events of Star Wars: Episode IV, “Star Wars Rebels” follows the crew of the Ghost, a ship commanded by Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall) and her fellow renegades as they attempt to undermine and destroy the Empire.
The new clip introduces fans to Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray), a very talented young thief who proves to be an enemy of the Empire and an antagonist to the crew of the Ghost… at least at this point. The clip also introduces Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze, Jr.), one of the few surviving Jedi and his allies, Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar) and Zeb Orrelios (Steve Blum) as they attempt to pull off a heist on the Empire.

“Star Wars Rebels” will premiere as a one hour special on the Disney Channel in October before it moves to Disney XD as a weekly series.
