Gaining nearly 8 million views since late Friday night is the footage of Pacers guard Paul George snapping his leg in half.
The video is below, and I must warn you, it’s as graphic as it sounds, therefore consider this a fair warning. The play occurred during a Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas when George went up to contest a James Harden lay-up. Upon landing awkwardly, George snaps his tibia and fibula, suffering a compound fracture of each.
George was taken to a local hospital for emergency surgery and the remainder of the scrimmage was called.
George then sent out this tweet:

And just to show you the kind of man Coach Mike Krzyzewski is — who is the head coach of the current Team USA — he apparently had an emotional reunion with George at his hospital bed, the picture below going nearly as viral as the video of the devastating injury itself.

Team USA teammates Andre Drummond, DeMarcus Cousins and Chandler Parsons watch as George receives medical attention on the court Friday night.
I refuse to watch the video, as I saw the Kevin Ware injury last year on live television during March Madness — considered one of the worst of its kind captured on television and an event Coach K witnessed as well. Watching the traumatic blow nearly brought me to tears; it was beyond gut-wrenching.
When I spoke with a doctor regarding Kevin Ware’s fracture, I was told it would take a year of intense rehab for a full recovery — at best. We could be looking at the same for George, meaning he will sit out the entire 2014-15 season. Considering he’s easily a top 5 player in the NBA right now, the Pacers can kiss their championship chances goodbye.
We send all thoughts and prayers to George and his family and hope for a speedy and full recovery.
