Music’s favourite power couple, Beyonce and Jay Z, will have an HBO concert special “On The Run Tour: Beyonce and Jay Z,” which will air in September.
Seventeen-time Grammy Award-winner Beyonce and 19-time Grammy Award-winner Jay Z will be taping the performance on September 12th and 13th at Stade de France in Paris on the only international leg of their current tour, the special will feature the superstars performing more than 40 songs on the stage together.
Although Beyonce and Jay Z have recorded numerous hit songs as a duo, including tracks such as “Crazy in Love” and “Drunk in Love,” and have been special guests on each other’s tours, “On The Run Tour: Beyonce and Jay Z” marks the very first time that the married couple (who also have one child together) has toured together on the same bill. In addition to a recent show in Toronto and an upcoming stop in Winnipeg, the stadium tour covers a total of 19 shows in the U.S. as well as two shows in Paris.
Beyonce is currently appearing on HBO Canada in “Beyonce: X10,” a ten-episode series of concert performances debuting Sunday nights before new episodes of “True Blood.” She was previously seen in the intimate feature-length documentary “Life Is But A Dream,” which debuted in February 2013 on HBO Canada.
