CraveOnline recently got a chance at Comic-Con to speak with David Anders (of Heroes fame) about his role in the up-and-coming TV series iZombie. He starts off by talking about his character, which he reveals is a villain-type that will likely be a recurring role throughout the series. David follows that up with a bit about how he seems to be typecast for “love to hate him” roles and how that seems to be a trend for him, coincidence or not. Later on in the interview, he speaks abut his experience playing the character, including makeup, and brain-eating.

A medical student, who becomes a zombie, joins a Coroner’s Office in order to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat so that she can maintain her humanity. But for every brain she eats, she also inherits their memories and must now solve their deaths with help from the medical examiner and a police detective.
David Anders, best known for his roles as Adam Monroe in Heroes and Julian Sark in Alias, is an American television and stage actor. One of his trademarks is his ability to carry on with a British accent, giving the appearance to many of his fans that he is English. David got his start in theater productions during high school, afterwards moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting in television. Mr. Anders’ first major role was as a high school senior in the Olsen twins’ series So Little Time. Not long after, he landed his role as Julian Sark in Alias. While working on Alias, he made brief appearances in Charmed, CSI and Grey’s Anatomy. A couple years later, he was cast as Adam Monroe in Heroes in a recurring role.
