Word earlier this month that Rocksteady Games was delaying the release of the much-anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight to 2015 elicited a cacophony of groans from anxiously disappointed players.
Well, it turns out the actor who voices the Bat may have just let it slip that the delay may not be quite as long as fans had feared.
Kevin Conroy was at Denver Comic-Con last weekend, and according to a NeoGAF report, the man behind the infamous voice said Bat-fans will likely have the game in their sweaty little paws in January.
“It (Arkham Knight) was supposed to come out in January, we’ve been working on it for a year and a half, it’s still not done. So it’s going to come out next January, but I know everyone is frustrated,” Conroy said.
As pointed out by Crave gaming site Destructoid, there’s plenty of room for Conroy to have gotten his facts wrong, since it’s open to speculation on just how much up-to-date info a voice actor is getting about a product’s release. However, Conroy’s comments are the best indicator we’ve had so far on exactly when in 2015 the game will surface.
We’ll see what Warner Bros. has to say about whether Conroy’s on the money or not…
