Gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare kicked of Microsoft’s Xbox One E3 2014 presentation, as seen above.
The footage showed a squad crash-landing into a war-torn Korean city, complete with missiles hurtling overhead and mechs roaming the makeshift battlefield.
The Call of Duty series has faced much criticism in the past for its failure to introduce a major graphical overhaul, but Advanced Warfare seems to have bucked that trend if the gameplay footage shown is anything to go by.
The footage also highlighted some huge friendly and enemy machinery, along with swarming bug enemies and futuristic weaponry, including heat-seeking grenades.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4th, 2014. Microsoft announced that downloadable content will be coming to the Xbox One first.
