Just because director J.J. Abrams gave us a short authorized sneak peek from the Abu Dhabi set of Star Wars: Episode VII last month doesn’t mean our appetite for factoids and tidbits about the production is sated.
And whether it’s official info or not, we don’t care where it comes from.
That’s why everybody’s going nuts Monday over a batch of illicit photos posted by TMZ straight from the desert set. While these shots aren’t illicit by TMZ’s usual standards, for Star Wars diehards, it’s definitely geekgasm-inducing stuff, including a whole mess of close-up shots of set, props, extras and new creatures. We’re already big fans of that giant pig-hippo-elephant thing.
Everybody and their mother is linking to the pics (including Crave film site SuperHeroHype), so we might as well get in on the act. You can view all of the photos over at TMZ.
Don’t worry — no major plot spoilage in any of these pics. Just sit back and revel in the Tatooine goodness as we all wait to see Star Wars: Episode VII in all its completed glory on December 18, 2015.
