An interesting post on Reddit Thursday could mean a new Mortal Kombat game will be among the announcements at next month’s E3.
As reported by Crave gaming site Game Revolution, a poster named Itshappening24 posted this image to the Xbox One subreddit under the headline “Yes! Must mean an announcement is soon…”
Now, in the interests of rumor control, there’s little in the way of confirmation about the poster (the artwork), the poster (the guy who wrote the message) or anything else to verify this as real. Although Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has been tweeting cryptic clues about a new game on the horizon for a while now.
But we’ve all been waiting for a new MK game since 2011 — and unless the poster is a complete fake (which obviously, isn’t outside the bounds of reality), we could get a little more on what’s in store for the franchise at E3.
