Flappy Bird is set to return, and this time it will feature multiplayer along with being less addictive, says its creator Dong Nguyen.
Speaking to CNBC during his media tour, Nguyen stated that while the game wouldn’t be coming anytime soon, it will be equipped with more features, including a multiplayer mode.
Nguyen removed Flappy Bird from the App Store and the Google Play Store earlier this year after stating that he believed it was too addictive. Despite earning him $50,000 a day, it led to a huge backlash from those who didn’t like the game, which resulted in personal attacks and death threats directed at its creator.
While those who downloaded Flappy Bird prior to its removal can still play it, it is no longer available on Apple’s App Store and Android’s Google Play Store. However, following this announcement it seems that this will change in the future.
