Transformers: Age of Extinction Casts Walter & Ra’s Al Ghul

The thing with CGI movies is that they don’t actually NEED actors in them… at least, not until the last minute. Case in point: Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth film in a hugely lucrative franchise, in the works for years, costing hundreds of millions of dollars, has just cast John Goodman and Ken Watanabe less than two months before the film’s release on June 27.

Way to wait until the last minute, Michael Bay. It’s a good thing all they have to do is talk over footage of robots punching each other or you’d actually be in trouble.

MichaelBay.com has announced that John Goodman (The Big Lebowski) and Ken Watanabe (Batman Begins) will provide the voices for the Autobots Hound and Drift, respectively. According to the Transformers Wiki (because we do not know this stuff off the top of our heads), Drift is a former Decepticon-turned-Autobot who carries a big ass sword, and Hound came to Earth with Optimus Prime in the first movie but – as revealed in the PSP tie-in video game (sigh…) – died after his best friend Trailbreaker blew up a satellite dish like a dumbass.

Apparently he got better.
