Seth Gilliam Joins ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5

“The Walking Dead” Season 4 ended with the majority of the main characters as prisoners of Terminus. There were a few major character deaths over the course of the fourth season, but at least one new face is joining “The Walking Dead” cast next season.

Seth Gilliam has signed to “The Walking Dead” Season 5, where he will portray “Michael Todd.” However, that name is thought to be a fake name for Gilliam’s real character on the show, who is described as as “having two sides, displaying a friendly, puckish humor but also having a haunted side stemming from a dark secret.”

Gilliam got his start on “The Cosby Show,” but he may be best known for his role as Sgt. Ellis Carver on “The Wire.” Gilliam has also appeared in “Law & Order” and “OZ,” in addition to his recurring role on MTV’s “Teen Wolf” as Dr. Deaton.

Despite his new job on “The Walking Dead,” Gilliam is expected to remain on “Teen Wolf” for its upcoming fourth season.

“The Walking Dead” Season 5 will premiere on AMC in October.
