Nintendo has just announced that Tomodachi Life for the 3DS will be releasing in North America and Europe, and every 3DS owner NEEDS to get their hands on it.
The game was announced by Nintendo via a Nintendo Direct presentation, which highlighted the sheer ridiculousness of this The Sims-esque game.
Tomodachi Life allows you to place a whole heap of created Miis in an island, where you’ll watch and interact with them as they go about their daily lives. They’ll form relationships, they’ll fight with one another and they’ll dress up as dinosaurs and admire themselves in the mirror.
The Nintendo Direct presentation, which you can view above, shows off the quirky sense of humour of the game, along with a variety of its features. The trailer has already received hugely positive feedback from fans, and it looks like Tomodachi Life might follow in the footsteps of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, in that it gives us another fictional island in which to completely lose ourselves. Here’s hoping.
Tomodachi Life will be released on the 3DS in North America and Europe on June 6th. If you own a 3DS, pre-order this one immediately.
