In just over two weeks, Warner Home Entertainment’s newest DC animated film will get a special premiere screening.
Warner Bros. has confirmed that the upcoming Son of Batman movie will make its debut during a special event at WonderCon in Anaheim, on Friday, April 18. Following the screening of the film, voice actors Jason O’Mara (Batman) and Sean Maher (Nightwing) will take part in a Q&A session.
Based upon Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert’s 2006 storyline “Batman and Son,” Son of Batman throws Bruce Wayne’s life into turmoil when he learns that he has a child, Damian (Stuart Allan) by his former lover, Talia (Morena Baccarin); the daughter of his nemesis Ra’s Al Ghul (Giancarlo Esposito).
This is O’Mara’s second DCU animated film as Batman, following the New 52 inspired continuity spinning out of Justice League: War. Son of Batman also co-stars David McCallum as Alfred, Xander Berkeley as Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat and Thomas Gibson as Deathstroke.
Son of Batman will be officially released on DVD, Blu-ray and digital platforms on May 6.
