The cost of games on the upcoming PlayStation Now service for PS4 and PS Vita may have been revealed.
The above image, which was posted on PlayStation Now developer Gaikai‘s site and screencapped by VG24/7, shows Uncharted 3 and Far Cry 3 priced at $4.99 and $5.99 respectively, while The Last of Us is priced at $49.99 to buy outright. Of course, these may be placeholder listings, as Sony has yet to confirm the official business model for the streaming service, along with the length of time PlayStation Now users will be able to rent a game using it.
PlayStation Now is expected to roll out in North America later this year, while details regarding its European launch are up in the air as Sony has previously admitted that broadband speeds in the region aren’t efficient enough to run the service. Sony has recommended that users should have a 5MB/s internet connection speed in order to run PlayStation Now.
PlayStation Now will allow PS4 and PS Vita owners to stream a variety of games from Sony’s back catalogue, including PS3, PS2 and PS1 titles. Watch the announcement video of the service below.
