The Canadian women took down the U.S. in a stunning 3-2 comeback victory Thursday to win gold. They evidently thought their passion could drip over to the men while they faced the U.S. Friday for the right to play in the gold medal round.
According to reporter Daniele Hamamdjian, this note was left by women Canadian hockey players Hayley Wickenheiser, Brianne Jennver and Shannon Szabados:

Way to go girls. Sounds like a speech straight from the Gipper. The Canadian men won a tightly defended game 1-0 over the U.S. and will now play Sweden for gold Sunday in the last event of the Sochi Olympics.
