‘Sleepy Hollow’ Gets a Two Hour Season Finale

If Fox could have predicted that “Sleepy Hollow” would be its biggest freshmen hit of the fall, the network would have probably ordered more than 13 episodes for its first season.

But who could have seen that coming?

However, Fox is rearranging its winter schedule to give “Sleepy Hollow” two back-to-back episodes to close out its first season on January 20. “Sleepy Hollow” had originally been slated to return with new episodes on Monday, January 6. But with the schedule change, “Sleepy Hollow” will now be back for a new episode on Monday, January 13 before the finale a week from that date.

One consequence of this timeslot shift is that the second season premiere of “The Following” will get bumped to Monday, January 27, where it will be paired with “Almost Human.”

“Sleepy Hollow” was the first fall drama to be renewed for another season. The bad news for fans of the show is that it will likely be 9 months before “Sleepy Hollow” returns to Fox for its second season.
