Nearly two years after Syfy put “Dominion” into development, the Legion sequel TV series is going forward.
Syfy has announced that it has ordered “Dominion” to series, with a 2014 premiere planned. “Dominion” takes place in the world established by Scott Stewart’s 2010 film, Legion; which starred Paul Bettany (pictured above) as the Archangel Michael, who broke away from the other angels to fight for humanity in the war between mankind and angels.
“Dominion” takes place 25 years after Legion and it focuses on a young soldier who may be humanity’s savior. The cast includes Christopher Egan (“Kings”), Tom Wisdom (300), Roxanne McKee (“Game of Thrones”), Alan Dale (“Lost”), Anthony Stewart Head (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and Luke Allen-Gale (“The Borgias”).
Scott directed the pilot episode of “Dominion” and he will executive produce the series alongside Vaun Wilmott. Michel Litvak and David Lancaster. The pilot episode was written by Wilmott.
“Dominion” will be filmed in Cape Town, South Africa early in 2014.
