With thanksgiving weekend here, we decided to spend Thursday thinking about what we’re thankful for, so we will focus on this weekend’s games. And believe us, there’s plenty to be thankful for!
For some leagues, the playoffs kick off this week and if you’re one of the select few battling for league supremacy – instead of a consolation win – then it’s do or die time; you will need to get the most out of every player.
Don’t fret; we’ve got five players that won’t disappoint this week. Surely to provide some much needed points and a potential advancement to the next round, here are our sleepers for week 13:

Week 13 Sleepers
-
Josh McCown QB - Chicago
McCown has been impressive in Jay Cutler’s absence. He’s thrown for over 1,100 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception in five games. This week, the Bears head to Minnesota to face off against a Vikings defense that’s allowed the second most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. We expect another 15 -20 points performance this week.
-
Kellen Clemens QB - St. Louis
Clemens has been solid since replacing the injured Sam Bradford during the Rams’ week seven loss to Carolina. The last two weeks, he’s thrown for over 400 yards and three touchdowns, though he faces a San Francisco defense that’s allowed the fifth fewest points to quarterbacks this season. It’s risky, sure, but it could pay off in the end.
-
Michael Crabtree WR - San Francisco
Proceed with caution! If you really need a wide receiver, Crabtree could be you’re only hope on the waiver wire. He hasn’t played since the Super Bowl, but he was a full participant in practice this week. He’ll need to shake off the cob-webs – and St. Louis might be the perfect team to do so against, having allowed 247 passing yards per game.
-
Montee Ball RB - Denver
Kansas City has one of the best defenses in the league, so you’re probably wondering why we chose Ball? Well, with key injuries last week to both of the Chiefs’ defensive ends, the defense isn’t 100 percent. Add on the fact that Andy Reid’s bunch is in the middle of the NFL in fewest fantasy points allowed to a running back and it should work in Ball’s favor – plus he was instrumental the last time the two teams met.
-
Rashard Mendenhall RB - Arizona
Last week Mendenhall had a solid day against a decent Indianapolis defense; this week he faces a surging Philadelphia defense. The Eagles have given up a ton of fantasy points to running backs this season and with Mendenhall proving to be a goal line threat, this just makes sense. He might not rack up the yards, but if you’re in need of nine quick points, Mendenhall’s your guy.
