Gold Coast Suns veteran Campbell Brown is in more trouble after allegedly leaving teammate Steven May with a broken jaw following the club’s high altitude training camp in Arizona.
The incident is said to have occurred in Los Angeles after the camp had concluded and is rumoured to have just involved Brown and May.
“The club is in the process of establishing exactly what happened and all other relevant facts, and is discussing the matter with the two players concerned who have since returned to the Gold Coast ahead of their teammates,” said the Gold Coast Suns in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
“The Gold Coast Suns are considering appropriate actions and will not make further comment at this stage in relation to the incident.”
With May expected to require surgery according to AFL.com.au, Brown may be pushed out of the door after a long list of on and off-field misdemeanours.
The 30-year-old hasn’t accomplished a whole lot since becoming one of the first high profile signings by recently formed Gold Coast Suns and won’t play until at least Round 2 of next season after being suspended for kicking Melbourne’s James Strauss in the head.
The 205-game veteran has managed just 46 games in three seasons after joining the Suns ahead of the 2011 season, having been suspended four times since for a total of 14 weeks.

A self professed ‘Footy Trip specialist’ according to his Twitter account, Brown has been in overseas trouble more than once.
One of the more experienced players on the Suns’ list, Brown was also stripped of a leadership after his debut season at the club when he was detained by local police in Thailand after a confrontation involving teammate Mav Weller on an end-of-season trip, but was later released without being charged.
