Mario Balotelli Could Be Axed from AC Milan

Mario Balotelli’s time might be up at AC Milan, as boss Massimiliano Allegri looks to turn around the club’s worst start to a season in 31 years.

Former Manchester City striker Balotelli has been in poor form for the Italian club, and Allegri chose Robinho ahead of him for the club’s 3-1 defeat to Barcelona.

Balotelli, who was more well-known for his controversial antics off the pitch than he was for his football skills on it in his Premier League days, has also been causing trouble for his new club, including a physical altercation with a cameraman last month. While that’s nothing compared to the time he set his house on fire by shooting fireworks out of his bathroom window, it’s still proof that the atittude of the Balotelli we all know and love hasn’t changed in his move back to his home country.

Speaking of Balotelli’s recent poor performances and future with the club, Allegri said: Balotelli was a reserve at both Inter (Milan) and Manchester City, this is the first time he has been a regular first team player at a big club.

“He hasn’t played very well in the last few games and has been recovering from the injury he suffered with the national team, so I preferred to start with the Kaka-Robinho combination. Of the 18 players we had tonight, none had El Shaarawy’s characteristics.

“Balotelli is not a problem, and he did very well when he came on at halftime. He has extraordinary qualities but he has to improve in the context of the team. He’s just not used to playing every three days. We need everyone, all the players are important. From now on, we have to think about getting results.”
