“Almost Human” was originally set to premiere a week from today on Fox. However, Fox has pushed back the debut of “Almost Human” for a two night premiere on Sunday, November 17 and Monday, November 18.
The series was created by J. H. Wyman, the executive producer of “Fringe” and executive produced by J.J. Abrams. “Almost Human” is set 35 years from now and it follows John Kennex (Karl Urban), a Los Angeles cop who is partnered with Dorian (Michael Ealy), an android with nearly human emotions.
To promote the release, Fox has released 8 minutes of footage from the pilot episode of “Almost Human.” It doesn’t seem to be the first eight minutes, as we don’t see how Kennex was injured or how he reacts to his new artificial parts. But we do meet his commanding officer, Captain Maldonado (Lili Taylor) and Kennex’s unintentionally hilarious first android partner before Dorian is given a memorable introduction.
